I took my first ever Peterson exam today (Humanities) I was feeling pretty good about things as I was going to take the test this next week, but after getting a 37  on the practice test......I need a lot more book and IC time. Is the actual exam as hard as that practice test??

You've got the right idea, all it is is a bit more studying. I know that you can do it, and we want to see the happy ending to this test soon. Good luck!!!

Do you need Humanities specifically? A&I Lit is way easier, if you can substitute that.

I am planning on both, and there are no IC flashcards for A&I so I really don't know what to study other than the terms. English/Grammer was never a strong point for me.

I recommend the REA book for A&I Lit. I thought it excellent preparation.
As for humanities, the practice tests are a bit easier than the real test -- but I would wait until you are scoring in the 60s before the go for the credits.

I thought the real test was easier, but that's just me. I studied forever and totally ate up the flashcards, had them all down and did and re-did all the REA practice tests.
I was so worried I wouldn't pass, but I got a 70...
(Be warned, though, I'm a self-taught artist and mostly-self-taught musician, so even if I didn't know the technical terms, I was familiar with some of the material already.)
***Another thing, if you have a copy of the board game "Masterpieces", take the painting cards out and use them as flashcards. Seriously, it works, weird as it sounds!***
