Thanks for all your replies. I have sent TE an email with what Excelsior has evaluated to see if they can do better.

Curious, which school gave you 4 credits for which TEEX courses?

All of the Big 3 are going to require you to apply to receive an evaluation. COSC and TESC accept TEEX's ACE-approved cybersecurity courses. I think COSC awards IT credits. TESC awards CIS credits which can be used in the BSBA CIS or BSAST in Information Technology area of study or business electives in any business degree. Anything can count as free electives. I don't know if this still holds, but an Excelsior student was told a while back that TEEX cybersecurity courses would not be accepted.

I forgot to add that COSC will be offering a major in psychology soon, too.

I found TESC far easier to deal with. Because they post equivalencies for the exam programs, I didn't need to interact with advisors at TESC. At Excelsior I got tired of asking for permission to take exams and then getting inaccurate information. I felt like they were pushing me toward their classes every time I needed credits. In addition, their constant tuition increases grew old quickly.

Good point about the UL. Excelsior did mention I needed an additional 13 UL during their pen and ink review. Still waiting for the official evaluation, at which point I will engage about UL and other issues I think I'm going to have with their eval.

I am a pilot in the U.S. Coast Guard with 26 years of service, and only have the AA. Need the 4-year'er to make myself more competetiv with the airlines. At this point, just looking for the easiest and least expensive path for the degree. I'll make contact with Thomas Edison rep and see if she can do better. Thanks.

Bachelor's in Liberal Arts Degree Credit Requirements

Bachelor of Science option: Minimum of 120 semester hours. Within that total, at least 60 semester hours must be earned in the arts and sciences with at least 21 of those 60 semester hours earned at the upper or advanced level. The remaining 60 semester hours, of which at least 9 must be earned at the upper or advanced level, may be earned in applied professional courses, additional arts and science courses, or a combination of both. Welcome fellow Aviator. There's a few of us on here. I'm trying to finish my BS for a chance at the airlines too. Doing very slow with EC. Hard to believe with our combined experiences it all boils down to a diploma on the wall.

hilarious Bigger is not always better.

The OP was talking about the schools that are most popular on this forum. Even though the Big 3 are non-traditional schools, the types of students here are a minority among Big 3 students. Most Big 3 students are finishing their degrees with a substantial amount of online courses. So, whatever is most popular out there is not always going to be the most popular here. I'm sure Devry also has more graduates than all of the Big 3 combined.
