COSC will count environmental science for gen ed requirement as science AND global understanding so I am taking it.
I was going to take that at SL. Is there a better course option? I saw that it is open book. Does it follow the text book?

Yup it does. Yeah, I would recommend StraighterLine. Your other option would be from Study.com ...

There are so many options for each and every course, I would recommend going with the provider you are most comfortable with, be it Sophia, StraighterLine or Study.com - if you're close to a test center and you get the DSST free, then why not choose that eh?

FWIW, I took the Sophia course and found it quite simple and quick.

pretty sure I took it through Saylor. Only have to pay the proctoring fee, but it's probably the hardest option.
TESU March 2020 Graduation
--ASNSM Mathematics
--BSBA Accounting
--BA Computer Science
University of Alaska Fairbanks (December 2021 Graduation Goal)
--MBA (2/10 : 4.0)
I started this journey in the summer of 2016. I hoped to be done sooner, but I am still proud of the rate at which I have gotten my schooling done with respect to the many months of military training and deployments I have undergone.

For Saylor, the equivalent for it is ENVS203: Environmental Ethics, Justice, and World Views
