When your Alma Mater changes its name...
#1
This is just a minor vent....

Through a merger, my alma mater has changed its name.  I am not exactly thrilled with the new name.  It's just... meh.  It's a state school and not controversial, but I don't love it, and I graduated a LONG time ago.

And now...  my Education section on LinkedIn has been automatically updated to the new name.  I even tried to go in and edit the name manually, and it still switched to the new name.
Sad

Ugh, I hate when technology has a mind of its own.

I don't know if I would even notice if the school's names changed on the degrees I completed in the 90's. UMPI could change it's name and I wouldn't care as long as it doesn't become UMFK. Yup there's a U of Maine campus know as UMFK. Nope. I don't want that name. LOL

Sometimes I think the best thing to do is to try and reframe things in our own mind. If you share the previous name of the school and the new name of the school maybe we can help you to do that...
