How does this work? I use Study.com to study for CLEPs and DSSTs but have never done the proctored test with them before. I’m worried I’ll take the whole test and then they deny it because they don’t like something they see in the video. Do you have to clear everything out of the room? Use a separate camera other then the one mounted on the computer so you can move it around and show them everything? I have a MAC ? so there’s no moving that thing around.

You do need to do a full room scan. So you'll need an external camera if you cannot move it around. Room needs to be empty, no people, no distractions, no talking. 1 room scan 2 id check 3 check running programs.

Just make sure there is nothing with writing on it that could "look" like you're cheating. I had to move our test taking spot because there were pictures on the wall with writing that I had to take down each time. I moved it to the dining room table so there's really nothing around. You do have to scan the room with your webcam including under your table/desk. I turn off any electronic devices that can make noise and my doorbell. And I lock the cats and dogs up.
You'll be fine if you follow common sense-they aren't there to trick you.

In December it took 3 weeks for my son's exam. Unfortunately he failed it but the month was over so he didn't get to use his other test! I guess he didn't know how to get the full grade from the dashboard to know he should take it over. Live and learn.

Next time either ask them to expedite or go for another course.
