What type of AS degree should I apply for? Through which school?
#1
Currently I have passed College Comp(6)., Humanities(6), Social Science and History(6), College Mathmatics(6), History of US 1(3), Intro to Psychology(3), Race to Save the Planet(3), Here's to Your health(3). Did Biology w/ a lab in college(4), a class called Contemporary Social problems(3). I'm also an Electronics Tech in the Navy. Should get some sort of credits from the schools I had to endure. I'm not to particular in what i should get just need that piece of paper that says I have an AS. (the faster the better)

(Planning on taking Analyzing and Interpreting Lit, Pricnciples of Macro/Micro economics, US History 2, and Intro to Sociology)

You might want to look at a more technical degree because of your electronics training, but here is a quick run-down of the Liberal Arts degrees at the Big 3:

Note: Some of the information may be out-of-date. For instance, I think COSC requires a Cornerstone course now.
AS in 2010 and BS in 2013 at Excelsior College - Transcripts and Costs
MS Biostatistics in 2019 at Texas A&M University - Graduate School

Sharing Credit-by-Exam* and Help for Veterans
Resources Used - 20+ Exams Passed & General GRE
Practice Tests - Available for CLEP and DSST

Look into the AS In Electronic Studies from TESC. That is the route I took and I'm an Aviation Electronics Technician. All of my schooling from the Navy fullfilled the area of study requirements plus some free electives. Sounds to me like you would be good to go for the Associates, but keep in mind you are going to have to take at least three classes with them to meet residency. If you are interested you could follow on with a BS in Technical Studies. That is what I am knocking out currently and your credits should fill in nicely as well. If you want some more info send me a message. I originally only ventured to finish my associates as quickly as possible, and now it looks like in less than a years time from just working on the associates I'll have the bachelors degree completed. Hope this helps.
TESC: BS Technical Studies - Graduated March 2012

* I want to give this forum a big thank you, being a part of this community has helped me to achieve the completion of my Bachelors degree and has helped me in pursuing my dream of becoming a United States Naval Officer. I leave this message here in my signature for everyone to read and serve as a reminder of what this community, and the completion of a college degree can mean. I hope that the attainment of my dream through continuing education can serve as motivation for others. *

Welcome fellow twidget!

The AAS in Applied Electronic Studies is an easy one for you. Myself and an ET3 that works for me obtained this degree. You already have all of the required general education credits and your SMART transcript will fill the electronics core. You are aleady done!

There is an easy way to get around the residency requirement at2nfo spoke about. I took zero classes with TESC for my two degrees and paid no money out of pocket either. Your Post 9/11 GI Bill will cover all of this and you can have the degree in hand by December giving you two points on the March exam, unfortunately you missed the deadline for the September graduation.

Let me know if you want the details.

And about 40 ACE credits from the navy.

Check out the AAS Environmental Safety and Security at TESC. You can utilize FEMA credits to finish quikcly and I found the Fema classes interesting.

If you are going for the AAS that I spoke about, and is in my signature, then all you appear to be missing are 3 humanity credits. I recommend A&I Lit for six easy credits or Technical Writing for 3 easy credits.

Are you planning on doing the BA/Liberal Studies from TESC? I can help you with that. If you are planning to use Excelsior then I recommend talking to someone who went that path. If you would like to get the BS in Homeland Security and Emergency Management you can test out of nearly everything, knock out some free and easy FEMAs, then take six classes through TESC and you are done. The BS in Technical Studies might be worth looking at as well if you plan on sticking with ET as a Navy career or civilian career. The Bachelor of Professional Studies in Technology Management at Excelsior might be a good choice as well.

Even with just your AAS you greatly increase your selectability for LDO/CWO or CPO if those are goals for you.
