What's the fastest Bachelor's Degree I can get at this point?
#1
Hello, I was on track to finish my WGU degree, but at this point I am enrolled and struggling due to the proctored exams and the math classes I have to keep taking. I asked to switch degree programs in hopes that they may rexamine my transfer credits (I hear this is a workaround) but I'm also considering just moving on completely. I can write papers all day everyday which is why I considered UMPI but, I would need to finish by May of 2025 and the earliest start date is March, but I may consider it if it's possible to finish in 2 months. SNHU doesn't really offer acceleration either since its 2 courses per term and if the max they allow is 90 credits, then I'd only be done by December of next year. What are my options here? there are a couple sophia classes that I passed with 75+ grades which I know COSC wouldn't accept. I did get the BOG from Pierpont with some of this, but I would imagine sending in that transcript would be credit laundering

Here's my template:

You should apply to UMPI YourPace ASAP. The BOG AAS with your technical credits would qualify you to go for the BAS-MIS, apply for the BLS-MIS and send all your credits from all sources, including the BOG transcript (that is to confirm you indeed have the AAS). Do not wait to do this it takes time to evaluate, and the schools are about to go on winter break. And since you're a fan of writing already I suspect you will be able to complete in one term (others have done it, and you're motivated to do so!). Then once you apply to UMPI, go sign up for Sophia again you'll need Spanish I (or the French I), Bio I and the Lab, and a few others I believe (see https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...quirements). Others can guide you on how you request to be moved from the BLS to BAS. UMPI will be the quickest and lowest cost option for you, and the BAS-MIS will give you a base of the IT you're looking for. Some may try to sway you into multiple minors, if you have time OK, but pick your one and focus on those courses first. Do not start any additional minor courses until you have everything you need completed for the minor (MIS) of your choice. And no, what you're doing here is not credit laundering, that is something quite different. Also, unlike WGU, you can transfer into UMPI after enrollment.

In addition to the info mentioned above, I suggest you create a spreadsheet using the WIKI degree plan template, link us to your Google or One drive with the file in a viewable (not editable) link. We can comment on any changes or recommendations to your classes, your best bet is the UMPI BAS with a minor of your choice, I would throw in the 3-4 classes that go into the MAOL as part of your residency classes.

One other thing to note, you've left some fields off from the addendum/template, such as your commitments and dedicated time to study, study habits, etc. These various variables actually are important in making a decision on which degree and institution may work for you better. At the time being, UMPI would be the best option if you have no commitments and many hours for homework and study...
