So I have received credit for all courses except for the Capstone and Information Literacy course. This is for a CS degree.
I do not want to pay the residency requirement waiver fee and will be taking 5 courses at TESU.
I'm wondering how I'm required to go about this.
Since I only have 2 specific courses remaining, but need 5 total to fulfill the residency requirement, can the 3 courses I take be any courses? Even ones I've already received transfer credit for but did not take at TESU?
Do I need to enrol in some sort of other diploma or program at TESU to be able to enroll in 5 courses given that my My Progress page says I only need 2 courses? I thought I read something about having to do this.
And regarding mid term examinations, can I get a score under 50% on a midterm examination and still pass the course as long as the rest of my grades for that course are high enough?
Thanks!!!!

Yes, they can be literally anything. They don't need to fit into your degree program, and they can duplicate your alt credit. Needing them for residency plus the bachelor's you're already enrolled in is enough for you to be able to register.
Every course has it's own grading structure, so whether you can afford to get 50% on the midterm would be a course by course question, although I would expect that if the rest of your grades in the course are A's you probably would pass. Be aware that TESU has a minimum GPA for TESU courses and if you were to fall short of that (I think it's 2.0) you'd have to raise it before you could graduate.

An E-Pack course is assessed by one proctored pass-fail exam. Like TECEPs, if you pass, a grade of CR appears on your transcript, while if you fail no grade appears on your transcript. Unlike TECEPs, E-Pack courses will have course Moodle sites with short online quizzes to help prepare. Also unlike TECEPs, they cost the full tuition of any TESU course, and count as TESU course credit for the 15-credit civilian residency requirement. All available E-Pack courses.
TESU also offers a few (non-E-Pack) courses that are 6 credits each, so you could meet a requirement of 9 additional credits with just 2 courses (one 6-credit, one 3-credit) rather than 3 courses, though at the same total tuition. Although each 6-credit courses expects a lot of work, there may be some overhead time of managing two courses averted by managing one. The current 6-credit TESU courses I know of are

Oh that's really interesting Jonathan. I didn't realize there were 6 credit courses. I will consider an E-Pack, but am a bit concerned if I fail, having to pay additional tuition.
Thank you.

Wow, so I can even take a course that I already got credit for from Study.com?? That's awesome. I think I know what I will be doing then!
Oh I had one more question. So as a CS major, if I only need to take 3 courses in whatever, and the 2 courses in Information Literacy and the Capstone, if I take a CIS course as one of my 3 additional courses, to pass, do I need to meet the area of study minimum grade (a C), or because I'm not using it for my area of study I only need a D?
Thanks!
