WV BOG - 12 Credit B&M Requirement
#1
I've applied at both Pierpont and WVNCC for the BOG AAS.  I do have a concern that 3 of my 12 (on the nose) B&M credits may not count.  I have American History I&II and Intermediate Development Algebra (not sure about this one), as well has a Hacking and Incident Response class that WVNCC has already posted as a General Ed credit.

If the dev algebra doesn't get counted for credit, would a TECEP count for B&M hours?
Up next:  WGU MSCSIA - Early 2023

Completed:  WGU BSCSIA (started 10/1/2018, finished 01/11/2019), Pierpont BOG AAS (5/2018)

Did you hear back yet?
Also, did they count your TEEX courses as computer literacy?

I'd like to mention that WVROCKS courses are offered at Marshall University and Fairmont State University, they are mainly UL and cost $669. So if you fulfill the 12 B&M requirements using those, you'd only need 4 more to satisfying residency for the RBA degree. I'm waiting for my ACE evaluation through WVUIT - my advisor believes I should get credit for all of the ALEKS courses except for beginning and intermediate algebra. That's a cheap 18 credits, 6 UL for $20.

They haven't received all my credits yet. I'm trying to use my local state college as a credit bank of sorts, sending all my CLEP results to the state college, then sending the state college transcript to WVNCC and Pierpont. I'll post as I know more.

I had a 3 credit intermediate Algebra from my Community College.  It was not a full MAT-120.  It was a MAT-101.   I transferred it in to Pierpont and they accepted it.

Ok, stupid question. If one were to transfer their ACE credits to TESU (or one of the big 3) and then transfer that transcript to WV, would those be RA credits?

Nope. It woould be clear on TESU that it was x'fer credit and WV would want the source transcript.

Not sure if the TEEX courses count, but I also have the Information Systems CLEP done, so we'll see.

Update: 2 of the TEEX courses come in as INFO 1999 (Information Systems Elective). My Hacking and Incident Response B&M class also came in as INFO 1999. InfoSec for Business Professionals came in as a business elective (BUSN 1999). It took them about 2 months to get everything into the system. I currently have 82 credits with them, and still have to send in Study.com, which should push me over 100 credits (just a tad overkill).
