That's correct, you want to complete as many transfer credits as possible, and your final step is to complete the remaining requirements at TESU.

I came across some posts about a TESU BA CS and BS CIS Double Degree plan but was wondering if this is up to date and still achievable?
Lastly, is it possible to do a double degree plan with FASFA?
Yes, that plan is still up to date. The only change is that if you want both the BA in CS and the BSBA, you can't do CIS, as you would need to choose a different concentration, such as finance or marketing.

There was no change done to the BS with an AOS/concentration and the BSBA AOS/concentration, but the degree name (BSBA split into two BS/BSBA options). It's a total nonsensical change that only added conflicts and detrimental for degree programming. In other words, they're trying to make a degree look more science or stem related than it is, that's false advertising on the down low, just to appease management or stakeholders...

Hi, side question. Will my transferred credits from community college show up on my TESU transcript with grades? Let’s say I got a C in a class at CC, will it show my GPA and / or grade from the class? I saw a post where someone shared their transcript and it only showed the credit value of the class. I’m just confused because in my TESU progress portal, it’s showing my GPA of all my credits that I transferred in from CC so far.

The TESU transcript will not show grades of transfer credit. The progress portal will.

Thanks for the clarification, this kinda means looking at the progress portal GPA is redundant, no?

Some graduate programs, e.g., medicine and law, do collect all transcripts and calculate each applicant's career GPA.

All institutions are like that, they'll show you an external GPA for classes you brought in. It doesn't affect your internal GPA that's taken at TESU or institution of choice. It's just for TESU's record, they don't give you a GPA for classes taken elsewhere, why would they print out a GPA for those classes on your transcript...

Some colleges print grades for transfer credit on their transcript. Charter Oak State College does on mine.

Hi it's me again! I got an email saying I can potentially receive two free TECEP exams.
Congratulations on your admission to Thomas Edison State University! We are delighted to share more good news from TESU: You qualify to take up to two (2) TECEP exams at no cost for the September term!
Scholarship Terms:
This scholarship was made possible by the Thomas Edison State University Foundation’s Institutional Innovation Grant and is dependent on available funds for the September 2025 term, which begins Monday, Sept. 1, 2025. Registration for the September term is open. First come, first served!
Please note: this scholarship can only be used for the tuition cost of up to two (2) general education TECEP exams in this term and is nonrefundable and nontransferable. Financial responsibility for any other courses registered outside of TECEP exams will be the financial responsibility of the student.
My question is can I use this scholarship to enroll into the medical terminology TECEP? I was going to sign up for it either way by paying so I could get unlimited transcript reviews. If I were to enroll in it with this scholarship would I only have the TECEP exam available for the month of September? That's the part I'm confused about.
