I am unfamiliar with WGU and CBE education in general. Scrolling through the WGU Website this A. M., I was pleased to read. the WGU Position Statement on Measures to Restrict or Limit DE&I Efforts
https://www.wgu.edu/content/dam/wgu-65-a...tement.pdf
Regardless of my other political philosophies, I find myself a fan of WGU's statement on DEI.

what a load of crap
they might as well say "as long as you can get a loan to pay the tuition, we don't care what color, religion or gender you are"
that would be more truthful regarding their and most universities philosophy

What would you prefer they do then? Exclude people?

Please note I only posted the WGU Position Statement in response to a question regarding WGU. As stated in that response I am unfamiliar with WGU and CBE in general. I took a moment to review the WGU Website and came across the position statement. I immediately liked it. I find it to be thoughtfully and factually expressed. I am troubled that the concepts of equal opportunity and diversity, equity, and Inclusion are now so mischaracterized.

Any such statement that promotes anything other than equal opportunity is simply baseless pandering. WGU's statement is both unnecessary and disappointing. When I read it I just rolled my eyes and cringed.
I still remember when MOOCs were going to make the poor geniuses and change the world. Reality won.

So you are against the orange dude revoking the Equal Employment Opportunity Act then?

I believe Hooters should be allowed to discriminate against hiring flat chested obese women for waitresses.

As far as I can tell they always have, under every administration. It appears you're worked up about a problem that doesn't exist.
It's also sad that American conservatism is devolving from
God and Man at Yale to "no fat chicks at Hooters."

Since when have I had anything to do with the religious right let alone American conservatism? It is best not to stereo type and create strawman arguments.

God and Man at Yale and the Buckleyan tradition is a keystone of American conservative thought overall. Despite the title, it's not specific to the Religious Right.
You keep taking political positions on this board advocated by many current American conservatives. But yes, you're more complex than a label.
