Now that we live in a world of internet and distance education, anyone ever visit or plan on visiting schools such as TESC after maybe getting a degree from them? Like myself, wouldn't mind one day driving to ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO, and dropping in on ENMU-R to see the school that I attained a degree from. Also maybe LSU one day in Baton Rouge to see that school I once took or course in. Or maybe even one day dropping in on ACE in Dupont Circle in DCA to check that out. It would be pretty cool. As for LATEBLOOMER whom game me the idea on another thread, I believe TRENTON NJ is not anywhere on the Jersey shore nor really that close to it. It borders Pennsylvania if anything, north of Philly along the Delaware river. I'm not a cap and gown kind of guy, but would just like to drop on in one day if I ever do degree it out from them.

I'd like to walk the stage for my masters. That said, you could "google maps" it and see if you can do a "street view" which is the next best thing lol

I could fly to Philly, rent a car and go to Trenton, but honestly, like I'd rather go to NYCITY like downtown Manhattan.

You guys are cute! That is exactly what a distance learning student/college graduate would do!
By the way, there is an open house and tour during EC's graduation events. It is a nice opportunity to meet advisors and see where they work.

I haven't been to COSC yet but haven't ruled it out. I'll admit, it would be nice to see the place. A couple of months ago when my youngest son was trying to choose a grad school, he, my husband and I took a road trip to Lindenwood University. It was worth the long drive to see the place.

Well, I can tell you there isn't much to see at TESC. Trenton isn't exactly NJ's most happening tourist spot, but the nice part about central NJ is you're only 1 hour from anywhere you might want to go. You can take a train from NYC or Phila to Trenton, otherwise if you're visiting NJ, a car rental is pretty much mandatory. Aside from the in-state residency discount on tuition, the reason I chose TESC is because I can actually go there when I have a problem. I live in the same county as the school so its technically my closest state college!

I visited EC in 2005 while camping at Lake George (around an hour north of Albany). EC is basically located within a business park and is really nothing more than administrative offices.

TESC does not have a Campus in the traditional sence but it does have a couple of beautiful restored old buildings in Trenton. Like clydosaurus said it is not a big tourist spot; unless you are interested in NJ state government or want to see the NJ state library you can use as a TESC student. On the other hand there is everything from Revolutionary war encampment sites to Aquariums, Science museums (The Franklin museum in Philly is Fantastic for kids) to the Jersey shore and New York City all within a 2 hour drive at most. I know many people only think of the shore when they think of NJ, but my avatar pic was taken while preparing for a balloon ride over some of the fantastic mountains and farmland in western NJ. So although I have moved away I still think of NJ as an under appreciated place.
