Dear [name removed]
It is not possible for us to start the evaluation process of your application for the following reason(s):
Unfortunately, you do not meet our admission criteria. Our university doesn't recognize degrees from University of the People. Your application is hence not accepted.
If you have questions, please contact us only through our helpdesk.
Kind regards, University of Antwerp

There has to be some kind of appeal. Why does the University of Antwerp believe they are better prepared to evaluate University of the People than the governments of the US and California and WASC? Perhaps they are looking at outdated information.

Try to use this argument if the reason for rejection is accreditation:
The University of the People has held official Regional Accreditation (RA) from the WASC Senior College and University Commission since February 2025. This accreditation is far more than a procedural milestone; it represents a recognized standard of academic quality that places the institution within the same accreditation framework as Stanford, UCLA, and UC Berkeley, all of which are evaluated under the same WSCUC criteria.

But a university in Belgium can make its own choices without the government agency NARIC.

When did you graduate? Depending on that, your degree could be:
- unaccredited
- accredited by DEAC ("national")
- accredited by WASC ("regional")
If it's accredited by WASC, I would follow up with University of Antwerp. Otherwise, you're probably out of luck.
Edit: Oh wait. I just noticed who posted this. They're trying to raise a stink about UoP yet again. When oh when will they get banned from the forum?

There hasn't been "official regional accreditation" since 2020, but (assuming OP is even for real) I agree that one could try the "same accreditor as Stanford and UCLA" argument.

This is gonna take time, someone on the ground need to add it to required stuff, cause the university won't.
When I applied to Bath they were like (wtf is a UoPeople fam? it's not in NARICS or whatever the thingie they use, so I added it), and I got in on DEAC my degree is not even WASCED.
Unforunately most students don't realize, this is a new university that is an infant with accreditation and u need to bring the the other Unis/Education bodies onboard, so just applying to antwerp willy nilly is not gonna get you far. Probably UoPeople degree have never entered the Belgian system (whatever that is) yet.

For context, question has a long history of fabricating facts like this.
See for example: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid440886
Quote:For example, this page (which I've found on the first page of Google) says that according to the National Student Clearinghouse, which does have legal value, Simone Biles never studied at the University of the People: https://www.onlinescams.uk/simone-biles
Online Scams UK is his domain. It now redirects to a website where he attacks an Italian journalist.
If you want more evidence that he's not trustworthy, check out this:
https://archive.ph/OSS28
He was briefly connected to the university. They uncovered his fake credentials and booted him. These were likely the same fake credentials that the Italian journalist reported on, as evidence by various past profiles of him.
He leveraged his connection to the university to run an academic cheating service which he sought to promote on Wikipedia.
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?tit...=715975086
So he's butthurt and continues to attack the school 10 years on. Be immediately skeptical of anything he posts.

UoPeople "fund[ing] the state of Israel"? That's rich.
Also glad to hear that DEAC is "a defunct, non-regional accrediting agency called DETC (formerly DEAC). This agency had been shut down after accrediting too many diploma mills (scams), but suddenly came back to life, thanks to the money Reshef paid to get uopeople.org accredited". Only true statement in there is that DEAC is not a regional accreditor.
This person makes sh** up and throws it on the wall, hoping something will stick.

I wonder what he'll say about WASC.
