<yes!> Well, a modified version for learning, but otherwise I would guess it'll be very similar to the game, it'll be interesting to say the least. 1 credit is better than no credit... and they have Badgr for your badge! HIST 297B: Playing and Making History with Age of Empires

I am not a gamer at all, but my son is. He loves History. And he is all about confirming facts. According to him, he has learned a lot about history from playing Rainbow 6 Siege. Imagine if he could get college credit for that. Who knows, this could catch on.

Some video games are pretty accurate about history - to a point. Some of the ones about Asian history are surprisingly accurate, even if they also have things like 100% invisible ninjas and magic spells.

He did say something about elements that aren’t part of history. Something like, it’s an actual historical backdrop but the gameplay part is fictional. I’m not sure.

The newest couple of Assassin’s Creed games come with learning mode that teaches history though the game. They even have quizzes and have been used in classrooms. I highly recommend them (plus the art is stellar!).

I got that game and a bunch of DLC through a Steam sale a long time ago. I just knew I’d love it, and I do, but not playing it. I love watching Let’s Plays.
Turns out that after spending my whole day making managerial decisions at work I just want to come home and turn my brain off. I find it strangely relaxing to watch someone else making all the decisions.
