Upcoming New MSIT From University of the People
#21
Awesome! Sounds like a good opportunity.

I see mentor/prof positions pop up for them pretty often -- once I'm no longer on the Georgia Tech payroll I might give it a shot. All the ones I've seen are volunteer positions (with a tiny honorarium), but it's a good CV builder (and, like in collegecareerstudent's case, an opportunity to give back).

Thanks so much, everyone! I'm super excited. I haven't been assigned particular courses yet, but they will be undergraduate level. They only allow those with doctorates to teach their master's level courses. I've gone through this forum to research some of the issues people have had with the institution and already figured out why some of them exist, so I'm hoping to compile information in hopes of streamlining the process further for students. Yes, the honorarium is per course, and paid per every 9 week course. It's small but it's something. Currently, I'm in Beijing. I've taught online and in person in Korea and China since 2014 but not on the college level, but I've been seeking to. University of the People has a special place in my heart so I'm super invested in the overall success of the school, and Bottega University, too (the staff is so nice and responsive).
