Transient Visiting Student
Non-degree-seeking students

But I suppose there isn't anything stopping a student from deciding not to continue their degree at GTC after the semester is over?

Just be aware that SC CC's are...odd in how they do things. You must be a degree-seeking student to get this deal, which means you need to choose a degree plan which has the course you need.

My daughter wanted to take a drawing course, and a specific lab science course in the same semester. There was not a single degree plan that allowed for that to happen. They are NOT flexible. We ended up paying for the drawing course, which is very annoying as a tax-paying citizen of the state.

Thanks OP, so there is no way to 'game' this free tuition offer for any credits that we want to take? Hmm, unless the courses are something you want to take towards a degree, then I guess it'll be an option, otherwise if you have courses to take elsewhere, skip this. I'm still on the fence, but thinking not to partake in this as I have a few things on my plate already...

I did not say that - I just said that you have to find a degree that the course you want is in.  So if you want to take Human Anatomy & Physiology w/Lab for example, you have to choose a degree plan which has this as an option.  Not all degrees will allow this.
