sounds similar to SDC advanced accounting course, writing three papers.

Finishing the BA in Accounting would very likely take more time. Probably best to study in advance out of an intermediate accounting textbook to minimize time spent per class in each term to maximize credits. I'm shooting for 15-21 my first semester. 15 is the minimum.

So far I can’t find any residency requirements in the catalogue. Are they accredited by the same regional agency that accredits Athabasca (0 residency)?

Thanks for pointing this one out. I've applied and gave them authorization to request my transcripts from other institutions. I am looking at the BLS with a minor in Project Management (hoping to minimize the math reqts for. BSBA.
From what I've read one can continue to transfer courses in from other institutions to satisfy degree requirements. There is a 30 credit residency requirement and there are several degree options. I will keep you posted.

I applied to the BA in Political Science. I have a BSBA and want to see how they evaluate my credits. If it seems like a favorable situation, I would like to bolster my credentials with a political science degree. Maybe it would have some value if I want to someday transition into government jobs? Either way, I love political history and political science. It really interests me, and I think I'd find the program really engaging. I'll update this thread with anything I learn.

Does anyone know if they take credit earned through SDC? I'd like to start this in the summer when I have much time off from work, trying to earn as much as I can within one session. Is there any capstone course or some other requirement that would make it hard to earn 30 credits within one session?

I'm not in the program but I'm strongly considering it. From the program page (https://www.online.umpi.edu/programs/ba-...ience.aspx) it looks like you choose either Political Science or History as a concentration but either way you earn the combined degree. For ACE credits, looks like they take them following ACE's recommendations (https://www.umpi.edu/academics/prior-lea...sment/ace/). |
