Meaning anything transferred from ACE will count as Prior Learning Assessment. I am hoping I am wrong, but doubt the school would let someone transfer 90 or more credits from alternative sources like ACE.

But it looks like this doesn't include CLEP, DSST, AP and challenge exams. So just combine 30 ACE credits with a bunch of exams.

Prior Learning Assessment cannot exceed a total of 15 credits of an Associate’s degree and 30 credits of a Bachelor’s degree.

Can one transfer in the other 90 SH?

The website is too vague. I have submitted a request for the enrollment specialist to contact me. When I hear from them I will post details. Still thinking this is too good to be true (i.e. there's some catch) we don't know about yet.

Just an update:

They added a BA in Liberal Arts with concentrations in 5 different fields - accounting/ education/ management/ IT/ & project management.

Cost per session is not $2,000 - it's $1,400. 

Sessions are 8 weeks long/ 6 sessions available every year.

*Also, in their FAQ it says there is no limit on the amount of courses one can transfer into a degree - I have my doubts about this so I’m emailing them.

I also read that on the website.  Not the first time a college website and catalog was wrong. 

If you can really transfer in 120 SH of 120 SH that would make them better than the Big 3.

This is simple just contact the school by phone and ask all this questions so we will be aware is this going to be the next BiG 4..

30 semester hours. 12 must be in your concentration or minor. 9 of them must be upper level.

The classes at UMPI are either extremely difficult full of papers and take a few months to finish, or very easy and could be finished in one week if you know the subject well already.

Nice people too. Their customer service is top notch! I got 12 credits from there, and 20 from HES throughout 2018.

I’m actually still enrolled at UMPI right now so if you guys have any questions shoot them over. Also, I think the school is more suited for someone that has about one year (or 2-3 terms if you have previous knowledge in accounting for example and you take the BLS accounting program) to get through the 30 credits of residency. We could think of it as a different option to WGU with less of a stigma since is tied to U of Maine.

I called today and they do have a 30 SH resident credits requirement.  

$1,400 sounds like an excellent price, but have no idea the time commitment per module?  Sounds like a B&M version of WGU.

Yeah, most schools will have a 25% residency requirement, even with competency based degree programs from the likes of Brandman, NAU, UMPI, WGU, etc. This program may be a valid option if it allowed 90 credits from ACE/NCCRS sources or AP/CLEP, etc. I mean, if someone is fast, they can complete the program in say 2-3 sessions. At two sessions of 4 months, that's $2800! Even if you hit 3 sessions (6 months), it's only $4200 vs $4000 at WGU. Brandman/NAU maybe slightly cheaper at $3500.
