In studying for US HIST I the flash cards name John Marshall as the 1st US Supreme Court Justice.
In reality he was the 4th and the first was John Jay, at least thats what almost all sources official or not say.
Anyone else notice this ?

I've not seen that part of History I, but have noticed some other issues in History II...
and I Agree with your John Marshall observation... however, perhaps there is a problem with the question as opposed to the answer such as a left out word? The question could easily be made correct by adding something...
because though he was the 4th chief justice, many of the things he implemented revolutionized the court... like judicial review, and being the first to use it... and the shift from seriatim opinions to a single court opinion, etc....
He is VERY important to the history of the court, and the flashcards should reflect that, while at the same time getting the detail facts correct...
But those are just my thoughts...
