I finished the BLS with education studies and the management minor in August 2022! Overall, I found the education courses to more challenging and more work than the management courses despite the fact I have much more experience in education than management. My only B- was an education minor course. I was also quite frustrated that in that class the teacher returned my draft saying "well done!" without suggestions, but then gave me a B-. Overall, I found the management courses to be more straight forward and clearly defined. I was also able to transfer some of the management minor courses to the MAOL, which I just finished this session. Otherwise, it would have taken me another session. I am trying to upload a copy of my transcript to show you, but it is too large.

That's typically what we advise so you can focus on your UMPI courses. I remember asking you which project management course you were taking when you posted on here before looking for help, but you didn't respond. There are 3 project management courses. If it is BUS141 then everything needed is in the course content. It's a 15-20 page project plan not a 20 page paper for the Final Assessment. Since you won't be taking BUS400 or BUS 401, then yes the course on Sophia will be easier. You will need permission from your academic advisor to transfer the course in. Have you completed the GEC? The 24 UL credits? The minor course requirements? The Education Studies Minor is not easy! I have not seen anyone complete all of the courses for it in 1 session. I have only seen a handful of people complete it as most change to the Management Minor because it's easier and faster.
Hi! Apologies for missing your replies, I used to receive email notifications and when I didn't receive any I thought no one had replied to my threads!
I did not transfer 90 prior, Jessica advised me I could do both. It is what it is now. I withdrew from Project Management on Friday due to lack of time to complete final and will take it on Sophia...however I DO have to take Operations Management with UMPI...which is another course that feels out of my scope of experience.
What I must take at UMPI if I stay with Management Minor:
1. BUS 260 ENROLLED
2. MINOR COURSEat 300/400 Level- BUS 321
3. MINOR COURSE at 300/400 Level-BUS 415
4. MINOR COURSE at 300/400 Level- BUS 352 or BUS 353
5. GEC or Elective Course-
6. GEC or Elective Course-
7. GEC or Elective Course
8. GEC or Elective Course
9. GEC or Elective Course
10. GEC or Elective Course
I have 12 Required courses remaining (ENG 121, POS 101, PHI 152, ENG 211, MAT 140,BIO 105, ENV 110, GEO 101, HTY 116, BUS 321, BUS 415, BUS 352 or 353) and 9 three credit general electives for a total of 21 which will bring to 120 credits.
Of all of the Management minor courses, I found the Operations course final to be the most difficult. That final is a case study on company that is already an industry leader in a specialized sector. You must use what you learned throughout the course to make suggestions to the company which I felt quite silly attempting to. I just did my best to include lots of the course content and ended up with an A, but I told my spouse that I literally felt like I was a rubber band stretching to try to make concepts applicable. Thanks for the information Larabell. It was very helpful to me.

Thanks for the information Larabell. It was very helpful to me. You will do great! Even when I found assignments slightly confusing, I just gave it my best shot. As long as I fully addressed the prompts, included course content, and cited relevant sources, it all went over well. Most of the professors were also very open to, even appreciative, when I applied course concepts to other arenas if I didn't have relevant experience. For example many milestones asked students to reflect on their professional experiences. I don't have much work experience, so I have used examples from managing a household/children instead of a business/employees. Professors were very inclusive in this regard. You can draw on your experiences whatever they may be. Push away any thoughts of inadequacy! You've got this!

Thank you so much for sharing you experience, who was your Professor for Operations Management? Jessica said I can take Project Management on Sophia but I am required to take Operations Management at UMPI
