UMPI TESU and SNHU evaluations

Exception Credit shortage in Management. 7sh required" and general ed courses are listed. I was just wondering about this because I thought 6 elective credits had to be in the concentration. Why was there an exception?

If you look at their Section E, you can see MAN-301 only transferred as 2 credits. So they gave them credit for the requirement, but they need to make up the missing 1 credit in the business electives section.
In Progress: MBA - HAUniv, Anticipated 2024
Completed: BSBA OpMgmt - TESU June 2021

UG - AP Tests: 20 credits | APICS: 12 Credits | CLEP: 6 credits | Saylor Academy: 6 credits | Sophia.org: 27 credits | Study.com: 12 credits | Davar Academy: 3 credits | TESU: 15 credits | Other College: 99.5 credits
GR - HAUniv: 9 credits

The course taken for the Intro to Management requirement was only 2cr, which was allowed, so then the extra credit popped down into Free Electives - which normally requires 6cr, so now 7cr is required.

After a year of being indecisive I think I’m finally going to pull the trigger on UMPI!

ss20ts I remember reading that you were going to check if Instantcert’s Spanish course would transfer to UMPI. Did you end up transferring that course in or taking it at UMPI?

I think ss20ts wound up doing Spanish at UMPI because everything there is open-book.

I did not take InstantCert's course because I found out what the Final Assessment was at UMPI. I took Spanish 1 this term. I have completed the course content and find it to be VERY easy. I am working on my essay today. Then I'm done. I don't have a written exam in this course this term. I finished the course content in 2 days.

No everything is not open book. The exams are definitely not open book. You actually agree to this when taking the exam.

Exams are closed book as per the honor code. The projects/essays which is most of the end projects, are open book as you need to find sources and reference the competencies (as per their rules)

Ah ok. I emailed asking if instantcert’s course would cover the credit. I’m fluent in Spanish so I’d rather get it done there and not worry about one more paper. Ive taken a couple other courses with them and they were fairly painless once you understand their structure. I guess either way it won’t be too bad.

Did you already take the instant credit course? Just do it at UMPI. The final is just write answers to some simple questions in an essay and Spanish and also some basic pronounciztions. You’d fly through it.

I have not done InstantCert’s course yet. I just got the green light to take it by UMPI. I figured I have a month before my session starts with UMPI so I might as well take something else off the list and be productive during the down time.
