UMPI, TAMUC, SNHU
#1
Your Location: Texas, US
Your Age: 30
What kind of degree do you want?: Basic business (BABA)

Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: Sophia so far

Sophia done so far

Visual Communication, U.S. History I, Project Management, Principles of Finance, Macroeconomics, Introduction to Statistics, Introduction to Nutrition, Introduction to Business, Environmental Science, College Algebra, Workplace Communication, Critical Thinking

Hello there, I want a bachelor's business degree, without proctoring. Quickest and easiest degree is best (haha). UMPI (quick+easy)/TAMUC, SNHU (longer) seem like the best options. SNHU admission's open now, so I'll be going there for one term because of my Pell Grant, mainly to wet my appetite for schooling. After that, I'll use the wiki guides for either UMPI or TAMUC Sophia credits. Is there anything I might be missing out on? Thanks for reading anyway!

If you go to TAMUC, you're going to want to find Texas History somewhere else. It's quite onerous at TAMUC.

If you go to UMPI, you'll need to take the following from Sophia (at minimum) Human Biology, Human Biology Lab, Environmental Science, French or Spanish.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

@RationRationalize, you're missing the addendum, as I mentioned in many posts, that's actually more important to know than the template itself as we want to know your budget, commitments, study habits, etc to see if its better to take TAMUC/UMPI for competency based degrees or doing the SNHU route by taking courses. Please provide more info as per the template so we have a better/bigger overall picture of your scenario...

Budget: Being max poor Pell Grant and federal loans.
Commitments: None
Dedicated time to study: I have all the time in the world, unless I get medically unlucky.
Timeline: Finishing within a year through UMPI or TAMUC and then transitioning to a Master's through UMPI or SNHU.
Tuition Assistance/Reimbursement: Federal only

Thanks for replies! I type relatively fast and long, so competency appeals to me. WGU and proctors seem like unnecessary stress (accreditation aside). SNHU takes longer than UMPI and TAMUC, but admission's open for it at the moment. UMPI seems like the best time-tested option for me over TAMUC, and noted for the Texas History.

From experience, I finished all classes from TAMUC within 3 terms (5 months).

TAMUC does seem like a good choice too, I mainly meant info over time! I couldn't find much info for it. It looks like a good idea though, thank you. I'll see if I can start it. Would you happen to know if they do proctoring for Org Leadership?

I just finished my first 7 week semester with TAMUC. I took Texas History, Talent Leadership in Human Resources, and Mass Communication in Society. Texas History was the only class that was difficult and really slowed down my pace. It is a tough course at TAMUC, but it is not impossible, it just takes some time to get through all of the information that is given in the class. The other 2 classes that I took were similar, both of them had a textbook online and they were very straightforward.

TAMUC BAAS Org Leadership

TAMUC is great! (I completed that program) It is a bit messy and the system is not super clear, once you're in the program you get more details, but price wise you cannot beat it.
Currently:
UCA (University of Central Arkansas) Ph.D. Change Leadership for Equity and Inclusion

Completed:
WGU MSML
TAMUC BAAS Org Leadership
PMP, CSM, CSPO, Google Project Management Certificate
Sophia 19 Classes | Study.com 12 Classes

@RationRationalize, Your first choice should be TAMUC for the cost/ease/speed of the program. If you finish in three sessions, it's going to be much cheaper than the Big 3 or WGU/SNHU, it'll be the same price if not less than two sessions at UMPI. UMPI would be the second choice if you want to have something other than the TAMUC BAAS.
