@Shipe, Patience my friend, it's great you're asking the question a second time, I'm not sure if you've read the degree plans on the WIKI or not for more info, nor read my previous posts in regards to COSC/UMPI 'double dipping' where people get confused on how that works as well... 

I don't think of it as double dipping at all, it's filling in requirements, it doesn't matter really if the class can complete multiple requirements as you still need 120+ credits and 40+ classes!  You really need to review the WIKI link here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:UMPI

Here's the long answer for them  1) Each of the certs are more than 3 credits, you can only have 3 credits assigned to one class, the other credits get place into the electives, once it goes past 120 credits, those go into the 'other field' down below the degree credits.  

2)  As I mentioned above, each class only can take 3 credits, forget the 'double dip' that people get confused on, make sure the requirements are met with a cert or a class, extras are just that, extra credits under the degree requirements.  

Last but not least, you're again doing a balanced mix/match of certs, degree, experience.  The certs are recommended over the classes as it's cheaper, easier, faster than a normal traditional class.  Spend some time reviewing the posts, threads, WIKI for more info.
