Hi! Recently, I've created my plan for a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a focus on Management and Leadership. I need someone to review it to ensure I'll receive all possible credits before joining UMPI. Also, it would be great to receive suggestions or a list of elective options, as I'm unsure how many of my selected courses will count as electives and what other courses to choose. Thank you!

Age: 25
What kind of degree do you want?: Business Administration - Management & Leadership
Commitments: I currently work full time and can work on my studies 2 days per week for a full day and each day 2-3h after work.
Dedicated time to study: Business days: 3 hours. Sunday: 6 hours. Total per week: 21h.
Timeline: Finishing the courses required for the degree as fast as possible would be ideal. I would like to finish within 1-1.5 years (12-18 months)

@Aurelijus, Welcome to the board, great initial post with a quest, but you missed the addendum and template here, it's within the sticky thread on top, it's the most important step before you ask questions: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works

Basically, From what you've written, it seems you're starting from scratch, so start off with Sophia.org and then work your way to another provider once done. You really need to create a spreadsheet for yourself using the following links on the WIKI, send us the viewable (not editable) link to your one/google drive, you basically need the Gen Ed and the M&L, those two will show you what classes you should take from Sophia.org and then move over to Study.com, then finish off the degree with UMPI classes.

I'm a bit confused. Your post says UMPI, but your template is laid out as for TESU. They're completely different schools and have vastly different requirements. That may be why you're so confused; you're not using the right template.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Hi all,
Degree - Business Administration - Management & Leadership
I would like to ask regarding difficulties that I found while making course list for myself that I am going to take.
1. On degreeforum degree plan (General Education Curriculum Requirements) says that there is 40 credits in total, but they didn't count duplicates.
2. If duplicates are not counted as credits than why on Business Math is counted as gec and to BA major?
3. College Readiness in description says that it gives 1 credit but on Sophia to umpi equivalency list says 3 credits, so how it is for sure?
4. Does free electives that I choose must be completely unique and cannot duplicate with the ones I already selected?
Thank you all

1. One course can be used for multiple requirements, but it still only counts for 3 credits. For instance, English Comp I is used to meet 3 or 4 requirements. This doesn't make it worth 9 or 12 credits. It's still worth just 3 credits. It is theoretically possible to meet all GEC requirements and only have 34 or 37 gen ed credits. In this instance, the student would need to take an extra class for a requirement that was already met. For instance, College Algebra for one math requirement and Statistics for the other. Students starting entirely from scratch can use https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...quirements to meet GEC requirements.
2. It still meets the requirements, but doesn't count for credits when duplicated. See above.
3. UMPI usually, but doesn't always, follow the ACE recommendation for awarding credits. That said, that page could be incorrect. I'd have to check later.
4. Yes. Free electives can be literally anything, but they cannot be the same classes as used for the rest of degree. Fill these with interesting classes from Sophia or an interesting certificate or two from Coursera. Whatever strikes your fancy. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Coursera
You need a minimum of 120 credits to get a degree.

Just a note...
UMPI requires a minimum of 40 credits in the GEC so it's worth it to make sure one has enough variety of courses to fulfill the GEC and not be stuck later on.
