Back again for another try!
#1
Hello all!

I've been working on getting my degree online on and off again since around 2016ish. This will be my third attempt. I keep getting closer and closer and then something sidetracks me and I lose focus. This last time was the birth of my first baby girl, Adelina.

Anyhow, I'm sure many things have changed since I was last on around early 2021. My original goal back in 2016 was to get a business degree from TESU. I'm here to check with everyone here, if that is still my best option. I'll list the classes and courses completed.

Any advice is very welcomed. Everyone here has been incredibly helpful in the past and it is much appreciated!

English Comp 1 (Columbus State Community College in 2010)
Public Speaking (Sophia)
Intro to Stats (Sophia)
Approaches to Studying Religion (Sophia)
Intro to Ethics (Sophia)
American Government (Instacert)
Intro to Psychology (Columbus State Community College in 2010)
Intro to Sociology (Sophia)
Human Biology (Sophia)
Environmental Science (Sophia)
College Algebra (Aleks)
Precalculus (Aleks)
Intermediate Algebra (Aleks)
Developing Effective Teams (Sophia)
Visual Communications (Sophia)
Accounting (Sophia)
Intro to Information Tech (Sophia)
Principles of Finance (Sophia)
Microeconomics (Columbus State Community College in 2010)
Personal Finance (Study.com)
Human Resources Management (?)
Intro to Fire Safety Education (?)
Special Topics in HRM (?)

I can't remember exactly where I got the last three at but I have them marked on my spreadsheet.

Any suggestions? Any additional info needed?

TESU is still a good choice. There is now a 24 RA requirement for TESU, though.

Looks like you only have 9 RA credits.
Degrees: BA Computer Science, BS Business Administration with a concentration in CIS, AS Natural Science & Math, TESU. 4.0 GPA 2022.
Course Experience:  CLEP, Instantcert, Sophia.org, Study.com, Straighterline.com, Onlinedegree.org, Saylor.org, Csmlearn.com, and TEL Learning.
Certifications: W3Schools PHP, Google IT Support, Google Digital Marketing, Google Project Management

It sounds like you're not enrolled. If you do go with TESU, would definitely apply/enroll ASAP to see where they think you stand. Intro to Fire Safety Education sounds like a FEMA class and TESU no longer accepts FEMA credits.

TESU is still a good option. If you decide to continue with them, we have a detailed wiki to help you fill out the rest of your requirements. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sa...ts_Roadmap

Depending on how busy you are now, you could do a 16-credit flat-rate term at TESU (capstone, cornerstone, PLA-100, 3 easy classes or ePacks). That would bring you up to 25 out of 30 required RA credits. The cheapest (and sometimes easiest/fastest) way to get RA (equivalent) credits for TESU can be to use free/low-cost credits from Finnish universities. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Fi...iversities You would need at least 10-15 ECTS to be sure that you meet TESU's requirements.

TESU may not be the best choice for you now. UMPI is cheaper and can be significantly faster/easier for many students. You need to be comfortable with writing essays. You will need a foreign language credit (you can take an ACTFL exam if you are fluent already, or you can do Sophia's Spanish I). You will also need a science with a lab. This can be obtained relatively easily/cheaply by taking Biology 101L from Study.com. You can find out more about UMPI here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Un...esque_Isle Multiple degree plan suggestions linked here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:UMPI

TESU is fine, but I'd make the switch to UMPI if only for the cost. Time wise, it will probably be similar.

@Crawdad1075, you're back for another round of learning! Great job, it really depends on your current situation, we can't really say which degree or school would be a better mix for you until we "know" your scenario... Excelsior, TESU, PUG, UMPI, WGU can all be very good options.  You've got to decide on the degree/school relatively soon.

It's going to be a close one, I suggest completing all your CSM Learn, Sophia.org courses first and see how you "fair/pace" yourself.  Excelsior/TESU if you have cash, commitments, and "life happens".  You should really fill us in on your budget, commitments, etc by giving us more details within the template and last post addendum here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works

I would advise against CBE, considering how long the OP has been working on the degree.

Stick with TESU and get it down to only the Capstone/cornerstone. I would even advise doing the cornerstone and capstone separately.
