UEXCEL Grade Update!

Ok, I tried emailing Uexcel twice in the last few weeks to inquire if grades will definitely be posted by the end of March. Of course I didn't get a response, not even a canned response. Yesterday I contacted EC testing admin. and asked the same question. This will be the last exam I need for my degree so I was getting tired of waiting and considering taking another CLEP. Amazingly I received a quick response and was told that he was informed the UEXCEL grades will be posted by the end of March. Let's hope they hold true to their word as I took mine in Sept. so 6 months of waiting is long enough. I just wanted to update those that are also waiting. I hope this helps others with their timing and planning.

I completely understand your impatience. When I took the UExcel exams, the beta testing was only supposed to be available through the end of August, with scores expected six weeks later. Then, the test period was extended throught the end of September, with scores expected in late fall. Later, the test period was extended again through the middle of winter, with scores anticipated in March. I am generally very pleased with Excelsior, but the UExcel beta testing program was clearly mismanaged for it to have been this disorganized.

However, there is a light in the darkness. The test scores are still anticipated to be ready at the "end of March 2009," according to the UExcel site. UExcel - Credit and Transcripts I haven't personally received my scores yet, but I am cautiously optimistic about receiving them within the next few weeks.

I took both versions of the Poli Sci exam in August 08 so I am glad we are finally getting close to the end of March 09- it has been a long wait.

I have a question for other registered Excelsior students who have taken the Uexcel exams.

I notice they are listed on MY EC under : Exam & Practice Exam Status and Scores > Pending Registered Exams:

I was wondering if anyone else noticed ?

I am assuming after the scores are posted these will move from pending registered exams to the section that says completed exams.

Does this mean Excelsior students have no choice in reporting the beta scores ? I ask because I took the exam with the understanding it was optional to report the scores ( meaning if one failed they just would not request a UExcel transcript be sent to their school) but now I am not sure.

This will be the last exam needed to complete my degree as well. The person I spoke with at the customer service number listed on the UExcel site (which was Pearson Vue, btw) was rude and had no idea about the program, or when the scores would be available.

If you still have your login information, you can see your status on the Pearson Vue website. So as soon as they are graded, the results should show up there. That will at least spare you a couple of days waiting for the letter in the mail.

You're on! I keep waiting and checking. Every time I see this thread pop up I think it's someone reporting that the scores have been released.

I'm up for it! I just took an extra CLEP yesterday so I can try to get my credits posted by the 3/20 deadline for a May conferral date. But now my CLEP I took 2/27 still hasn't been received by EC even though CLEP swears they mailed in out twice - once on 3/5 and again on 3/10. So much for a 2 day mail time! I'm beginning to think CLEP hates me because of the problems I have had with them. I just need these last 6 credits to post so I can be officially done!

I just received this email today...a month after I emailed them! I thought this may give us all the hope that we may actually start seeing grades post soon!

March. We are almost done with our statistical assessment and we should
be sending out grades any day now.

I passed! I just checked the website, and it listed "pass" under status. That was my last three credits!
