Looks like we missed the boat for their summer 1 semester but there should be time to hit the summer 2 semester (6/30/2020).
Also, I found this: "FREE FALL TUITION For first 300 students admitted to an associate degree program!" https://www.stthom.edu/Academics/Associa.../Index.aqf

Dang, I missed that free Spanish 1 credit. That hurts.
Oh well, I'm going to try and take American Federal Government from them. I just e-mailed admissions. I'll follow-up and let everyone know how it goes.

LOL, haha, that Spanish I was also the first course I looked at as well, or one of the first... But I figured, you can get the Spanish 1 from InstantCert or from Study.com and go for Spanish II from them or from Study.com if you want.
Since Summer II session starts at the end of the month, you can try and register for Spanish II for 5 weeks. However, you should at least complete InstantCert and/or Study.com Spanish I first, I think 3 weeks time would be fine to finish that...

Well, I just need 3 foreign language credits, and I’m trying to maximize my RA transfer. I’m looking into doing the UMPI BA English YourPace degree, so I have to be strategic with my 30 PLA credits, and they include ACE in that 30. I’m afraid they’ll ask for proof of Spanish I at St. Thomas and not accept ACE for that. Of course, knocking the US Government requirement out frees up 3 credits I would have had to use for ACE. Then I can take InstantCert. Thanks for reminding me. I totally forgot that was one of their course options. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Applied on Friday. Application "confirmed" on Monday. I'm hoping they'll actually email me today. They were really quick in responding to my initial inquiry about the class(es).

Those are the ones I noticed anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk (06-09-2020, 02:56 AM)rachel83az Wrote: Applied on Friday. Application "confirmed" on Monday. No word back, I just e-mailed and asked how long the process should take. I'm hoping they don't need transcripts for a visiting non-degree seeking student.

Here is the response I received:
"Thank you for your email and interest in the University of St. Thomas! I don’t see your application yet in our system. Usually, it takes about 2 days for applications to be uploaded into our system. When did you submit yours? Additionally, if you are a visiting transfer student (24 or more college credit hours), then we only need your application and official transcripts to be sent to us directly from your college. If you are a visiting freshman student (less than 24 or no college credit hours), then we will need your application, official high school transcripts, SAT/ACT test scores and essay. Once we have all of your documents, you will receive a decision within two weeks. Let us know if you have any questions!" That's from the admissions e-mail address. I guess we'll see in two weeks. And it does look like they do need transcripts, which is dumb, but oh well.

The application said that the transcripts weren't needed due to visiting student status. It skipped over that section entirely! That is super annoying.
