Has anyone taken a certificate at Tesc, How much was their cost and How was your experience?

In what situation will a person need to get a graduate certificate.

thank you in advance for your replies.

They are helpful for people to get on the way to the real thing. I've got a few certificates just because I've got the extra credits (from my CC). As for the Grad Certificates, getting the certificate related to your area of work may help you advance on the way to getting the full masters degree since it is often similar to the "area of study" portion of the degree. The costs are the same per credit and the courses can be used toward a full degree so they can be used to advance for those without the time for a full degree or as a stepping stone.
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

Undergraduate certificates are very useful for those who already have a bachelor's degree. It's a very cost efficient way of gaining skills or making a career change without having to get a second degree. A popular certificate to add on is paralegal studies after earning a bachelor's. Employers actually prefer people with a paralegal certificate and a bachelor's in another subject. Another good example is someone with a business degree and getting an undergrad cert in an IT field since many business jobs require IT skills. Certificates can also be useful in certain fields for those who do not have the time or money to get a degree. Certain occupations like optician or medical transcription don't really require an associate's or higher.

Grad certs are a cheaper way of adding advanced credits to your resume without completing a whole master's program, but I see most of their value for those who already have advanced degrees. Someone who has a law degree might want to get a grad cert in accounting to make him or herself a better tax attorney or to meet the credit requirements to become a CPA. Nurse practitioners get their master's degrees in one specialization and can only practice in that one area. They might want to go back and add other specializations in other fields with grad certs. College instructors can add to their marketability and flexibility in teaching various courses by earning 18 credit hours in fields other than their graduate degrees.
