Those are all very good points. And although you didn't mention it, your personal experience with a WGU graduate program would certainly be evidence that not all of their degrees are worth pursuing. Still, my impression is that the MAOL represents a very large amount of writing, so I personally wouldn't wholeheartedly recommend it, nor would I set expectations of completing it in a single 8-week session.
Yeah I didn't enjoy my time at WGU but others have. I had issues with the proctors and the degree program I was in needed a lot of work. They have made changes to that degree program since then. I hope for the better!
I wrote far more in my MBA and my MA at Amberton than the MAOL at UMPi requires. So much more. I had classes with weekly papers and discussions. 10 weeks long. Research papers in almost every class. And I had to read at least 1 book for every class. Most classes I read multiple books. But hey I got an MBA! LOL
