Which is why I share these thoughts:

1. It certainly is your right to experience your emotions and express yourself as you wish.

2. hurling harsh language and calling names  only diminishes you.

3. Living in anger is not healthy. Find a way to let go of that emotion.

The neatest little video popped up on my phone last week. it suggested dropping some lotus seeds in a bowl of water. the results in the video were amazing. Today I am expecting a package of lotus seeds to arrive. If the results are anything like those in the video, I will post a photo here.

In national polls in early 2023 Trump sometimes polled in the 30s and sometimes below DeSantis. Liberty University is criticized here as a bastion of Trumpism. Yet DeSantis defeated Trump 54-30 in the Liberty College Republicans straw poll in April 2023. 49% of Republican caucus-goers in the 2024 Iowa caucuses voted for one of the three major candidates remaining other than Trump. In the next race, the New Hampshire primaries, 43% voted for Nikki Haley in a two-person race.

Although Trump's grip on the Republican Party seems firm today, the party didn't coalesce around him without reluctance. And part of the coalescing was a bandwagon effect while Biden's numbers fell for reasons that were more about Biden.

And now just days into office Trump is delivering several major policies he did not campaign on, including absurd surprises like threatening the sovereignty of longtime close allies Canada and Denmark-Greenland.

The left as a whole is peak Dunning-Kreuger effect sprinkled in with "disingenuity" in action.

I love that our military is being used for what militaries are SUPPOSED to do (and have done for thousands of years) and not fighting for Israel or f'ing around in a third-world country bleeding money.

If you knew your history, you'd know the US has tried to acquire Greenland numerous times in the 20th and 19th century. We also have a long-standing base at Thule. It's not some far-out thought....

Canada has its own shit show immigration and economic problems, I disagree with inheriting their mess until they can sort it out. When/if that happens, I think it would make a decent vassal or protectorate. Since that's essentially what we do for them at this point...

Yes yes, Denmark....the amazingly useful ally which essentially colonized the land from the Inuits....but yes...sovereignty. Let the Greenlanders decide.
