Transfer letter grades to COSC?

My son took straighterline and they transferred in letter grades to COSC.  Does Davar or any of the others (Sophia, etc) transfer grades directly into COSC and not just P/F?

I think (but am not sure) that UExcel exams come in with a letter grade. For certain they do to EC, but not sure on COSC.

The others don't give letter grades (they are just Pass/Fail).

You may want to confirm with COSC just to be sure, but a few months back I called and asked them this question. They essentially told me that anytime something is on an ACE transcript, it will always be pass/fail - whereas a direct transcript (another college, SL, etc.) that indicated grades would carry forward.

I don't know how Davar operates, but if they do direct transcripts with grades/% then probably yes. If you have to send them to ACE before making their way to COSC, then for sure no.

Since Davar is evaluated by NCCRS, they have to send their own transcripts directly because NCCRS doesn't issue transcripts. I don't know if percentages are on the Davar transcript.

My transcript shows a letter grade from Davar back when they were Tor College Credits and were issuing courses through Coopersmith Career Consulting. I don't know if they issue grades with their new format. (You could ask them.) But as a previous poster commented, the transcript comes directly from Davar to COSC which is different from ACE.

I also have letter grades from Penn Foster because I sent in the PF transcript in addition to the ACE transcript. My Sophia course came in as "P."
