I was reading that other thread about some ppl having difficulties with certain instructors for Capstone. I don't want to have those problems starting out at TESU. Does anyone have good recs for instructors for the Cornerstone course?

I would check out RateMyProfessor for recommendations.
There are many free points in the SOS-110 course, so there is zero chance of failing it. It's only a matter of getting an A or B in the course.

I recommend Paul Kiesow. I and a friend of mine both recently finished at TESU, and we both had Kiesow in separate terms. He's consistently helpful and responsive, and is pretty easygoing on grading.
I highly recommend him.
I also *very* highly recommend August Black for the capstone. Amazingly helpful, engaged, fast grades, and always willing to talk to students by phone at any time.
On 110, I strongly suggest taking the first couple of days and busting through as many of the short assignments and the two assessments (NimblyWise and another one I can't remember offhand) as quickly as you can. If you knock these out of the way, you'll have time to put into the longer assignments and any other classes you're taking.

I had a good experience with Dr. Dale Coye last year. He provided timely and helpful feedback while maintaining a nice atmosphere.

Getting a general consensus or insight into who to take for the cornerstone is a great idea. I guess you're just taking the cornerstone by itself? If that's the case, you need to really look at which professors are teaching in that term. Once you know the two or three people teaching the SOS-110 course, check and reference rate my professor and review or skim through the info. Having the list above is great, but not all of the them teach classes each and every term...

Thank you all so much for the suggestions and tips.
Looks like the only one teaching in the May term is Dr. Vaughan so I might go with him.

I just found out you can take both Cornerstone & Capstone together. So I might do both now or later on this year.

That's great. I would recommend getting your other courses all complete first and then decide how to slice the final two courses.

That's great. I would recommend getting your other courses all complete first and then decide how to slice the final two courses. This is exactly what I plan on doing. I think I’m going to push my start date back to June.
