Tor College/Saylor Academy -- Excelsior
#1
Hello everyone,
I have decided to apply to Excelsior College B.S Liberal Arts program. Can you tell me about your experience with transferring credits earned from Tor College and Saylor Academy to Excelsior?
Specifically, I am wondering how the upper level courses transfer. Thanks in advance for your feedback/!

I am an EC student also working toward a BSLA (area of focus Psychology/2nd depth History). I am presently studying for Tor College's UL HIS-301 - "Jewish Immigration..." exam. I have confirmed permission from my advisor to use this exam to complete my UL history depth requirement.

I can't help you as far as how to transfer UL Tor credits, but EC definitely does accept them.

As an aside, I would love to know your opinion regarding Tor College exams - have you taken HIS-301 or any similar courses? Did you use ProctorU for your exams? How difficult would you consider the exams - specifically the "open-ended" questions and essay portion? Is the material presented in the "Crash Course" the material needed to successfully pass Tor exams?

Since not many here on the Forum have experience with Tor College, any info would be greatly, greatly appreciated! Smile

SuZQ2,
Thanks for your reply! I do not have any experience with Tor(ah). I am just exploring options for my BSLS degree at Excelsior. Right now I have 91 credits from traditional schools and 23 ACE credits. So I hope to be finished with my degree soon. I do have some LL classes I anticipate will transfer as UL (based on previous experience with other schools).
