I am going to be going to TESC. My goal is eventually to get my MBA in Finance or Business.( so far).
I just finished getting my Transcripts from my state college I attended back in 2000 sent to them and filled out my online application and paid my $75 dollars.
I was wondering if someone could tell me the next steps? Do I start taking cleps? Any help would be appreciated. I also have aol aim and skype if someone would want to help me on that as well.
Thanks everyone so far it has been a long first step coming but it will be a great journey. (don't stop believing) sorry couldn't help it

First, congratulations! If I'm inferring correctly, you don't have your bachelors yet, right? Have you searched this form for a link to Dcan's wiki? (Search "wiki.") It will provide you with plans that other forum members have used to get degrees from TESC. Since lots of us test extensively, you'll be able to see what CLEPs and DSSTs should meet your degree requirements. Best of luck!

Since you've applied for TESC, you can see how your previous credits can be used for an ASBA (Associates of Science in Business Administration). (FYI, it can take TESC 20 business days to assess your previous credits.) Log in as a Current Student, and check out Online Student Services. One of the services is Academic Evaluation. Once TESC has evaluated your previous credits, you can click ASBA in the Academic Evaluation. It will show you how TESC sees the credits you've earned fitting into an ASBA. Then, search this forum or go to Dcan's wiki site, and see what tests folks took to fill in your blanks. IMPORTANT: We share our experiences. We tell you what worked for us. It's important that you realize that the only thing that matters is what the Registrar's Office of your university says, not us, not someone in Admissions, not your BFF. Catalogs and requirements change from year to year. What worked for one forum member as an enrolled student on June 30, 2012, may not work for you if you enrolled after that date. Also, from what I've gotten from this forum, the REGISTRAR's office doesn't even talk to you unless you're an enrolled student (paid tuition) rather than an admitted student (paid the $75 admission fee). Many of us don't enroll until MOST of the tests or courses are completed. If you decide to enroll before (almost) testing out, you have to pay another year of tuition if you can't test out or finish courses in that year. I hope that this helps. Good luck.

UPDATE: I have finally got an email back from TESC that they have finished my evaluation. What is the next steps can someone help me out. I want to start studying and taking tests. If I am readind this information right it looks like I need 48 credits. I also have a question. If I got a bad grade in a course can I opt to take it again to get a higher grade through clep? Thank you again. Also if anyone would like to help me and feels that talking over skype, aim or any other portal would be easier and faster please let me know. Thank you again and have a great day.
