Just a heads up on the test.
Administered by computer
98 questions
2 hr time limit -- can easily be done in 1 1/2 hrs.
Passing score is a 46 ---- I earned a 63.
Despite the test being called "Personal Finance", I thought there were many questions that only a person studying to actually be a certified financial planner, CPA, social security administrator, or licensed insurance professional, would know.
There were probably 5 questions that had you calculate interest over a certain number of years with a certain interest rate.
Know the basics of the different chapters of bankruptcy. (about 3 questions)
All in all, a very "doable" test.
Next stop: "Here's to your health."

First of all, congrats on passing the test! I am going in for the DSST Personal Finance on Tuesday. I need to start studying, however I noticed that there is no Personal Finance under the course listings.
Any suggestions from anyone on what to study? Principles of Finance? That seems more advanced than what I need...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Congrats on your pass! It's one I'll be taking in the next few weeks too! Glad to hear it is a fairly easy test. I like those!

I just brushed up on the topics that were on the dsst personal finance fact sheet.
Read my first post on what to know along with the outlined topics on the dsst fact sheet and you should do fine.
