Overall I think it was a pass, and since DANTES/CLEPs are either pass/fail, I'm not too concerned with the overall scores; my upcoming ECE exams are a different matter altogether. I take A&I Lit Thursday and am doing the Petersonâs practice CLEPs for it now. More to come as the rest of my 5 test results come; it's now been 5 weeks and I have yet to receive one score...... Lee
Hi Lee,
My heart goes out to you for having waited five weeks for your scores. I can barely handle a 2-3 week wait.
Regarding Instantcert, if 30% was NOT covered then I assume that 70% WAS covered. To me, that is a pretty accurate study guide, considering the vastness of each subject and all the potential questions that could be asked on any given exam.
Remember, the goal of Instantcert is only to get you to the point where you will likely PASS the exam. For this reason, I agree with ShotoJuku: It is always to your advantage to access additional resources wherever possible.
However, since Sociology is a pass/fail exam, I feel pretty confident in saying that it is unlikely you will have failed, as long as you knew the info covered in Instantcert. Certainly if you knew the answer to 70% of the questions, that would result in a passing score. Add to that, the fact that you have a one in five (20%) chance of answering the remaining questions correctly just by guessing, and I expect that your long wait for the results will be WELL WORTH IT!
I do hope you get some scores soon. The 'not knowing' is awful, isn't it?
Best of luck,
