Thomas Edison State University New Diplomas: ASBA & BSBA
#1
Sharing the arrival of my ASBA & BSBA diplomas. They came staggered by about 5 days in the mail with the ASBA arriving last week. I waited for them both to share. Even with the focus moving on to a MBA, it was very cool to unwrap these bad boys.

As mentioned before, thank you to all that provided support and cheered me along the way. For those that are close or just beginning, please keep the faith and know that you will accomplish your goals.

Congrats to you!!! Out of curiosity, is there a benefit to having the associates? Just because you can?

Thanks...It was a total just because you can. When I initially thought of enrolling at TESU the plan was to get an AAS in Environmental, Safety & Security Technologies along the way to the BSBA. Knocked out a ton of FEMA credits first but by the time I actually enrolled they (TESU) no longer accepted them as credit. The ASBA was there so I figured it could keep the BSBA company Wink Both degrees are more of a passion project than applicable value project for me. My kids are excited and my wife is proud so the value of both is special.

Interesting. I got my diploma as well, but it just says Bachelor of Arts. I was expecting to see Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science. Not a huge deal since the transcript says B.A. in Computer Science. Do you think it's a mistake, or do they just do it differently for the ASBA and BSBA degrees?

Funny Nixi! Always have had fun with my last name. The RANSOMSOUL was created about 10 years ago when I started a family blog to keep my in-laws in Germany up to date with pics and all of the kid adventures. It has grown into more of an online diary at this point that we really enjoy sharing.

TESU does not list the concentration davewill (this is also true for most universities) . Schools are accredited to award AA, AS, BA, BS, MA, MS, MBA (how long can I go!!! Wink.

Here's a pretty detailed share from UGAChemDawg breaking it down:

This is awesome! Graduation is Wonderful! Those are two beautiful pictures!
I am looking at my magic 8 ball, and I hope it's correct that I'll be getting mine at the end of the year. :coolgleam:

One question: Did you have to apply to the ASBA or did you just tell them you have the requisites to graduate for that degree?
I am planning to get an ASBA and want to keep it in the same calendar/catalogue year instead of having 2016/2017 requirements.

bjcheung77 - You will want to apply for the ASBA and any certificates of interest along the way to completing your BSBA. Once you apply for graduation, all degrees/certificates will be reviewed at that time for completion.
