Just curious how long the process usually takes. Just paid my application fee today, and with it being the holidays am hoping to start taking classes in the February term. Apparently the deadline for registration on this is January 16 or so. Am I to late with them having to the assessment of prior credit evaluation. Also, if you register for classes in February can you also register in March for other classes? Am new to the whole classes starting each month thing and am wanting to get some general info. Am hoping to knock out English and Advanced Math in February and then get started on the classes left for my Associates in Electronic Engineering. Hopefully, a lot of my military training in electronics through the Air Force will transfer and I will only need minimal classes to have the Associates to help with landing a job offshore as an Electronic Technician. It's amazing how much more you will get talked to you just having that paper from a college, even if it's an Associates in this field.

tsimmns,
If you are applying under the MDPC, you are considered enrolled "on the date of appication". So you can start registering once you have a username set-up. If not, contact the college and let them know you are military and already applied, you should be able to start registering for classes and an advisor should be able to help you prevent duplicating effort.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

Also, I have no idea what MDPC is? Sorry to be so clueless, I feel sometimes this is the reason at 32 years old that I haven't went back and finished my degree.

Sorry, that should be MDCP, which stands for Military Degree Completion Program. It gives military members an option to pay no enrollment fee provided they complete 12/24 (Associates/Bachelors) credits with the school, which can be courses, guided study or TECEP. It locks the military member into a $250 per credit tuition and the military member is considered enrolled at the time of application, military members also have the option to used the enrolled option and pay the NJ resident rates, if they so choose. I used the MDCP, but had completed my degree requirements before I met the residency, so I switched last minute to the regular enrolled option and used the GI BIll to fund the fee.
