Hey everyone its me again!
I have 3 courses left at UMPI for finish my bachelors applied science with triple minor.....
I am waiting for my Pierpont BOG AAS to " graduate" which is December 13th
UMPI fall 2 ends December 20th
Does anyone have experience with this? Should I do all the rest of my classes and hope I can get my AAS sent to UMPI to change the BLS to BAS?
Or should I push a class or 2 into spring 1 and wait to get pierpont conferral sent over?
I have already scheduled through peirpont transcript service to have it sent over when ready but I dont want to screw myself over with not getting that BAS properly.
I hope this makes sense.......
Thanks in advance!

Umm...Don't you have to apply for graduation at UMPI too? It may have changed with the new system but I remember having to apply for graduation.
Either way, you should speak with Jessica or whoever your advisor is about this. It was my understanding that you could get admitted to the BAS while your AAS was being conferred, but your advisor would have to arrange it. It seems prudent to explain this to your advisor as soon as possible.

Yes you still need to apply for graduation and there has been a cutoff date for applying. And they definitely need to communicate with their academic success coach about their situation. Jessica is no longer managing students. There's a bunch of new people who do.

OK thank you for the info.... I am still even waiting for a bunch of finals to get graded. BUS244 took over a week to get back my Final Draft.
In your experience when is best time to appy for graduation? Do you have to have all classes complete? or do you guess when you will have them done

To elaborate on what I mentioned here in the summer with this post and the main snippet below:
https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid421737
"Get this, as per the steps and dates mentioned above, your Pierpont BOG AAS will be conferred first week of December. You send that info to UMPI to change the program to BAS and complete the remaining UMPI classes by Dec 20. You get your Pierpont diploma shipped end of Jan and your UMPI diploma a month after if you get everything done in 1 session. That's your one-two punch without any extra work, it's a very easy and smooth transition from BOG AAS to UMPI BAS... Don't think of obstacles as obstacles, I think of obstacles as opportunities to get extra ROI/Value and to personalize the learning for the individual."
What you should do is to contact UMPI academic success coach and tell them what you're trying to do, along with the dates for BOG AAS conferral, and you're changing from the BLS to BAS. Don't wait for anything, do that today, and try to complete all the classes before the end of the session, you don't want to be taking classes for another session for $1700 when you don't need to. You can use that cash for the MAOL, you'll just be adding $500 to that $1700 for a Masters (assuming you can complete 9 classes in 1 session).

You need to apply for graduation before the deadline. I applied when I had a couple of courses left for my degree which I knew I would complete during the term. I didn't wait until the last minute. You don't need all of your courses completed. But if you still need to complete 8 courses and it's the final week of the term, that's not going to happen so you shouldn't apply yet because you will not graduate.

If Jessica can't complete the request for you, it'll have to go to another team member... Basically, they'll get you to complete the remaining 3 classes, make sure you have all the requirements completed for the BLS, wait for the Pierpont BOG AAS conferral, then transfer you to the BAS, and verify you've got the requirements for that. You'll be placed into a latter graduation cycle, it won't be for December, the next session after would be a possibility though...
