Thinking of My Next Career

Although I'm able to retire from my job now, I won't. When I do, however, I want to get another job. No, not a retirement job. A job like any other. The local community college has something that they call the TRiP program. (It's an adult-ed thing, not regular college courses.) As I know next to nothing about IT, this would be a real stretch for me. Would any of you IT-smart types tell me what I could do with this training? Before I decide if I want to get into it (pun intended), I want to know what I'm getting into. Thank you.

Curriculum
Looking to Enter Information Technology (IT)? Consider "TRiP" (Technology Retraining Internship Programs), an intensive part-time, technology training program for people interested in transitioning to a career in IT. Most classes are conveniently held in the evenings and on Saturdays, with an emphasis on both classroom and hands-on training.

"TRiP" offers an optional internship program. This experience enables you to add actual IT experience to your resume. In addition, some companies sponsoring internships offer full-time employment at the completion of the internship. Individuals interested in "TRiP" should:

The next "TRiP" session begins Saturday, September 6, 2014 with the "Networking Essentials" class.

The "TRiP" Curriculum
Program Requirements:
Students are required to complete a total of 168 class hours to finish the program.
Sixty-six (66) hours are required from the Saturday CORE courses.
The remaining 102 hours may be obtained by choosing elective courses from the list below.

Required Core Courses:
Saturday only: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

I'm not in the IT field, but unless you get really good at UNIX and Java, most of that stuff looks entry-level as in help desk support.

Thanks for the in-put, Sanatone. As I said, I had no clue what it could/would lead to. I'm bouncing things around in my mind. I might get an actual paralegal degree/certificate and take certifying exams. (I was a paralegal for about 13 years, but I figured I might make it "official.") I thought about getting an MPA, but only for a moment. Retirement (from this job) is at least 3 years off.
