That's exactly what I experienced... didn't know what they were thinking!
I guess they wanted to get some publicity and now they've got it!

So true. The First Amendment protects us from having our freedom of speech taken away by the government because the government is the only entity that really has the power to take away our freedom of speech. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from criticism. Those who are criticizing are also exercising their freedom of speech. However, the death threats they have been receiving are illegal. Decided by the Supreme Court, there are certain types of speech that are not protected, and terroristic threats and harassment fall into that category.

BUT, it still applies. You are free to respond to something that offends you with threats and all kinds of craziness, but if it's illegal, then you get to experience the consequences of your actions/words!

Protected speech can't be made illegal; that would be a violation of the First Amendment. It has been determined that true threats and fighting words are not protected forms of speech. So, people aren't really free to make these comments because they could lose their freedom over it i.e. be put in jail. But, I agree with your post. I was just pointing out that the store was receiving death threats, but the threats weren't on YouTube. I believe they received them by phone, email, and/or Facebook messages.
