The Institutes

I like to think of this as a friendly and helpful forum. I don't like to see people saying the equivalent of "suck it up, buttercup" because that's not helpful. Saying that people have a personal problem is not helpful. What is helpful is asking questions and providing guidance. If you don't feel like doing that, nobody's forcing you to reply to any threads.

Yeah, harsh. As in "excessively critical or negative".

I really was looking for clarification on which course link would still satisfy the Ethics 312 course. It is not for me. I completed the Institute Ethics 3 or 4 years ago.
This is for my sailors. I advocate using these resources to help dip their feet in education and then we move up into using all the military resources. A lot of them join for school and then are hit by this mental wall with all the college jargon or demands of the job, and end up not pursuing any education.

If nobody knows which is which that's fine. I just came for some clarification. I didn't mean for there to be any mudslinging.

I did find confirmation of answer here in this thread: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...-2-courses

Turns out it's most likely:

Ethical Guidelines for CPCUs

That's great that you're helping others pursue their education! I've fixed the link on the wiki so that other people won't get confused. Thank you.

I got a reply this morning from The Institutes, and it was so helpful, I'm actually starting a fresh thread.

But for the OP, here's a link to all of their classes with their ACE approval status: https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/2449883/A...202019.pdf

I didn't have any trouble getting credit, but your assessment of folks that do seems a little harsh.

The issue of selecting the $5 option for CEU credit rather than the free option for college credit is such a common mistake that it's detailed in the free credit wiki: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Fr..._of_Credit

Incidentally, the course does, in fact, show up with three entries for me.  See screencap, attached.

Do these credits transfer into COSC?  There is BUS341 Risk Management & Insurance that COSC offers.  Will the institute meet the requirement?

That list is from nearly a year ago. And the question was not if it's accredited but what had happened to the Ethics 312 course. The name has either been changed or the class is discontinued.

I had some clarification on the link I posted but thinking about it some makes me feel it might be a bit dubious.

Nothing happened to the Ethics 312 course.  As I said three days ago, Ethical Guidelines for CPCUs is Ethics 312.

I'm sorry that you're not happy with the list.  Tell you what, why don't you locate a newer one and post it.  Then I can look it over and let you know what I don't like about it.

The problem is, as I've pointed out before, the courses available right now are not called "Ethics and the CPCU Code of Professional Conduct", nor "Ethics 312".
