I started the Information Literacy course at 1700 on the Monday it started and finished it by 1600 the next day. For the next 8 weeks, minus 1 day, I was wondering what to do with myself.

Lol, yeah, the Excelsior Info Lit course is a bit of a joke. I think I finished mine in a couple hours - I browsed through some of the material, thought "well, this looks pretty simple" then I skipped straight to the final quiz and was done.

Life Long Learning Wrote:Maybe the best AAS with only one online class (3 SH) for a real 100% Brick and Mortar College is from West Virginia. Calling TESC/COSC the same brick and mortar colleges would be very misleading. If I did not already have a few AA degrees these would be my first degree. They accept CLEP/ECE/DSST also.
Board of Governors Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree requires 3 SH at WUV-P
West Virginia University at Parkersburg (WVU-P), West Virginia
*Many WV Community Colleges also*
Thanks for the tip. I'll go for this one this summer. They also award concentrations.

Another point that must be considered when considering COSC vs EC is the fact that EC does not count the College Composition CLEP towards their written English requirement.
I think that even though COSC might have a (slightly) more strict residency requirement, they are still superior to EC with regards to transparency and customer service. When I was still deciding between the Big 3, COSC was the one that did not hold back information about their programs. Every question was answered within a reasonable amount of time, and the answers were very concise. Excelsior and TESC, by contrast, were very vague with their answers to my questions.
