Will SL accounting I, accounting II, managerial accounting and business stats all fit into the business core area?
I already have the stats requirement filled with Intro to Stats.
Thanks

Straighterline Managerial Accounting will transfer as Cost Accounting, which is a UL Accounting elective, not a core course. If you already have Intro to Stats you shouldn't need another statistics course.
Always verify everything with an advisor at TESC.

Here's the community-edited PDF containing known course equivalencies. As Yenisei said, be sure to get everything in writing from your advisor first.

Thank you for the reply.
My question is based on trying to fill in credits not get another Stats class. I like the SL format and have knocked out 7 of them in the last 45 days and firgured I'd finish off the mangerial accounting if it could be put to good use.

What classes did you take and how many hours a day are you spending? And what is your approximate total cost with books? I'm really interested in SL myself and may take 2-4 classes that way. Thanks.

I took- (forgot I took Business Comm so my count is actually 8)
Biology non lab
Sociology
Psych
Western Civ
Intro to Criminal Justice
Anatomy and Physiology
Algebra
Bus Comm
I finished Intro to Business yesterday (no book used)and am about 1/4 way through Accounting I and plan on finishing that today. Next up is Accounting II and then Managerial Accounting.
Books were bought at half dot com or used off Amazon. Biology I used a book from the library and Intro to CJ no book. I enrolled in the 99/month deal and used coupons to purchase some of the classes.
I like the SL format since it allows me to either go through the lessons if I don't know the subj or move right on to the tests if I do. Most of them take 3-7 hours of direct work to complete.
For me SL is a great resource.

So you can finish Accounting I in 8 or so "contact" hours? I'm looking at Accounting I and Managerial Accounting, plus Macro and Micro Econ.

dcan - I studied accounting for 2 weeks before enrolling in the straighterline course. So once I enrolled, I was able to move through the materials quickly. I began each chapter by reading through the main points and making sure I already knew the material to some degree. Then I took the open book chapter test which involves definitions and problems that I either knew right off the top of my head or knew where to find in the book.
So I finished each accounting course in maybe 12-15 hours. Its just that I have no problem spending 12-15 hours on a course over 2 days so I finished it in 2 days.
I couldn't have come close to that if I hadn't already learned accounting basics.

Accounting I took me a bit over 8 hours. I've been running my own business for 10 years and while not an accountant, I was familiar with many of the terms and subj/solutions.
Printing out each quiz for review is something I found to be very helpful as was reading the books (if needed) ahead of time.
