Hey all.

Back at the beginning of April last year I posted a thread asking for some help in determining a degree plan for completing a bachelor's degree. I had a handful 10-year-old Aleks credits and no other college or university experience. I received very helpful input from many people on the board and was able to start my path towards degree completion through a combination of Sophia, SDC, InstantCert and UMPI. I have just finished a dual major in accounting and business bachelor's degree thanks to all of this help. It was a hectic year, with me working continually from that point until the end of November, then having a two-month break while waiting for the next UMPI session. I ended up with 198 credits total and am now applying for a master's degree. I want to send out a very heartfelt thanks to all of you who helped me along the way with familiarizing myself with the system, and my many questions along the way. It's been a wonderful journey and I look forward to the next stage of my education.

Congratulations! Even using alternate sources, that's a lot of credits to earn in a year. You should be proud of yourself!

Thank you. UMPI has really been really terrific to work with on all levels, and I have given serious thought to their MAOL. Based on my "gotta go fast" mentality I've opted to instead try a non-competency-based approach for the masters or I know that I will be in a cave for the next six months doing assignments. I've applied for the HAU MBA, hoping to be able to get in on that amazing opportunity while it is still there. If I don't make the cut I may very well end up back at UMPI, though I will try to get some chill and tackle it at a more reasonable pace.

Yeah, I'm surprised with how quickly it came together. It's been a lot of fun. I was torn between business and accounting paths and took a bunch of extra classes at SDC to keep my options open. It wasn't until midway through January that I thought about asking if they would apply to a second major. Jessica had a look and BAM, there it was!! It was a very pleasant surprise.

If you go to hauniv.edu the school is alive and well. Their programs are still running. It's just that one weblink that is no longer functioning. They may ended the $3K MBA. That was a limited time offer as it was funded by someone. It was only available while there were funds to fund the program.

Thank you! I was honestly surprised by the total number. It sort of snuck up on me. You were the very first person who mentioned UMPI and I am grateful!

I'd be willing to bet it's a technical error rather than anything else. Of course, I could be wrong.

EDIT: hauniv.edu and mba.hauniv.edu resolve to different IP addresses. So it's more likely that whoever was running the subsite let the payment for that hosting service lapse. At least in my opinion.
