Since many indian are in the country and they assume making it mix of old civilization make it great. The university is accredited and should be fine for admission.
Thanks

Indeed. They have a large population of students & staff from India. They celebrate a great deal of cultural holidays as well. This can be seen from their very active Facebook page:

TAU -Guyana offers the PhD in Public Health Online. If you look at their website under the FAQ, at the bottom, the last question refers to "many institutions offering the PhD in Public Health online or through distance learning." https://tau.edu.gy/pg-program/study-phd-...th-course/
And since I've been accepted to begin January 2025, I've confirmed the entire program is offered online. They are accepting students. A fellow DHA graduate and I are both accepted and starting the program together.
Were you able to determine if the classes are all asynchronous, or do any require set log in times for a zoom or teams meeting ?

I don't know at this time. I'm waiting on TAU to get back with me on my specific shortened schedule, since I transferred DHA credits and will only have 18-20 months of coursework; cut down from 3.5 years. I am in contact with a PhD in Public Health graduate [2023] and will ask her the same question. Once I know more, I'll add it here.
