Testing center procedures?
#11
beckysharp Wrote:Hi Kate,

I looked up your college on The CLEP site and it is a limited testing center...

Hope this helps,

Crystal

ALL of this input helps. When I called today they said it was okay to not go out and talk to them yet, that they would check into things and call me back. I didn't hear back this afternoon. After reading all your posts, I am thinking that my poor inexperienced proctor thought that it would be okay for me to come out there not realizing that only students could test there. And now they are probably debating what to do about me. I am hoping that they decide to let me continue. There is a private college nearby but its testing hours are only during my work hours so it would a lot more difficult. But difficult is not impossible right! And different than the Dantes & ECE's will be, at least its local. You take what you can get in a small town. What's that saying..."Trials build character" or is it "patience?" Hope I grow in one or the other.

I believe the saying is "Trials make lawyers wealthy".
hilarious

Hey Kate, I just want to let you know that, no matter what, your previously earned CLEP scores are safe. This whole situation has nothing to do with CLEP. Your scores are now on file at "CLEP HQ" and nothing can take them away from you...just in case you were worried about that.

Hope it all works out okay for you. I am totally at home at my local test center, and I don't know how I would feel if I had to suddenly find a new one.

Take care,

It's been over two weeks but the testing center called this morning. They have decided to allow me to continue testing there even though they are a limited testing center. (Only registered students should be able to sit exams there) I am soooo thankful. The other center did not have ANY hours that worked with my work schedule. Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers!Smile This is very good news!

That's very good news and such a relief for you! I'm so glad it worked out. I have to start testing at a new facility, because the old one only did CLEP, and I'm not happy, so I'm glad you are.Smile
