Hi,
Does anyone know of any testing center in new york that will allow you to register on the same day taking the exam, instead of registering 2 weeks before the exam?

Monroe College has a campus in the Bronx (718) 933-6700 and one in New Rochelle (914) 632-5400 (New Rochelle has a parking lot, the Bronx does not). Test schedules are Monday through Saturday 8:30 am through 4:30 pm and they only charge $15.00 for the administrative fee. I called yesterday and took an exam today (Freshman Comp passed with a 60). Hope that helps.

The Bronx is in NYC and New Rochelle is in the Southwest part of Westchester county. FYI, NYIT on Long Island charges $5.00 administrative fees for DSST exams (no joke) but getting an open date is very difficult. As you can imagine the wait time is very long. I am scheduled to take one on May 2 and I made the appointment on March 7.
