I am taking it next week and would like to be a prepared as possible for the test to prevent from having to take it in college.....I do not like history at all. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I just recently took it. The info in the paid forum is spot on, if you're an InstantCert member. The flashcards were also really good. Also the AP History Study guide was good
AP US HISTORY - Ultimate Study Guide I read it the night before and also just before going into the test center. It helped.
EDIT: I forgot I posted pretty much the same thing on your earlier post . . . sorry.

Join IC, use the flashcards, read the specific exam feedback. It is well worth the money and cheaper then most other sources.

This was one of my first tests, so I spent more time studying than I do now. I went through the Instantcert flashcards twice and watched the Annenberg series called "A Biography of America."

Thank you for everyone's feedback. I am a member of IC so I have been doing the flashcards, and I have looked at the thread just for US History. Also, I have watched all the course videos found at
NROC US History*I .
A few questions I have:
1. Are there any places I should focus my last minute studying...major topics covered on the test, battles, dates, etc?
2. How many questions are required to be correct in order to score at 50 or above?
3. Is just studying the flashcards on IC and watching the videos at the link provided above enough to pass the test or do I need to do extra?
Thanks again for everyone's help! I am taking the test on Wednesday, so I am in the serious study mode.. Have been studying all day :/
Forgot - also, what does the CLEP test even look like? what should I expect on test day?

Thanks for the feedback. The link you provided definitely looks like a good last minute review of the material. Will probably be using it the night before

Not really. At least the version of the test I took had a pretty even distribution to everything. However, it had only one or two questions on Reconstruction (kind of light in that area for some reason)
bpw2415 Wrote:2. How many questions are required to be correct in order to score at 50 or above?
It's believed that about 60 correct questions are needed to hit a passing score.

The IC flashcards (provided you really know them) are enough to get well beyond a passing grade.

Download this software from the makers of CLEP tests . . .
http://professionals.collegeboard.com/pr...ampler.zip It will show you what to expect in terms of look and feel from the CLEP test.
