I am scheduled to take the SS & History CLEP this Thursday. I got a 69% on the CLEP pre test. I've done 2 full Petersen's tests and only gotten 43% on both of them. I'm going through the IC flashcards but there is so much to assimilate I'm not sure it's helping....
Are these scores good enough to get a pass? I haven't failed a CLEP yet and I really don't want to start now, but I don't really want to reschedule....any ideas?
Thanks!

What area is weak? Is it history? History is 50%, so if you say it's history, I say reschedule.
Pick subjects that you know well and study those harder. It may seem counter-intuitive, but if you KNOW you'll nail every psych question, or every govt. question, you raise your odds.

What I'm missing seems to be scattered in a couple of different areas. I just feel very overwhelmed with the amount of material that could be studied.

Something you might consider is going through the IC flashcards for the US History I & II tests, Psychology and Sociology. Those will be more in-depth than the actual SS&H test but might give you a better overview.
When you say "on the CLEP pre-test" are you talking about the Official CLEP study guide test? Because if you're scoring a 69% on that, you should be more than ready to pass the real thing.

Yes, I'm getting a 69 on the official study test. Thanks for the info...I feel a leetle better!
I think I will follow your advice on the flashcards. Congrats on the degree by the way!!
